Sharmayne Thomas, the founder and head vocal coach at Confident Voice Academy, brings a wealth of musical expertise and dedication to her role. Originating from Cleveland, Ohio, Sharmayne's musical journey led her to Kent State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Performance, complemented by a minor in Theatre. Her extensive classical vocal training serves as the foundation of her teaching philosophy, shaping her into the committed vocal coach she is today.

 

In 2016, Sharmayne chose Atlanta, Georgia, as the canvas to expand her music career. Her coaching expertise was showcased when she was featured on Vh1's T.I & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle in 2019, demonstrating her skills in a coaching session with Tiny Harris and Zonnique Pullins.

 

With over 7 years of devoted experience, Sharmayne has guided her students to esteemed platforms such as The Tennis US  Open, American Idol, The Apollo Theater, Good Morning America, and Lifetime Movie Network. Beyond coaching, she invests her time in vocal production, arrangement, and songwriting, collaborating with artists in Atlanta's vibrant music scene.
